When it comes to materials for acheiving your alternative energy solutions, enameled magnet wire should be up near the top of your list of things to buy.

    

    Of course magnet wire comes in many different shapes, sizes, colors, lengths. It all depends upon what you need. A full factory wound (as opposed to rewound from a factory spool to a small spool size). The reason for selecting the larger spool rests in the logic of making sure your wire integrity was not comprimised when a 3rd party company created the smaller quantity spool, presumeably from this very same size factory spool to begin with. So, why take chances on your wire being messed up from the get go, when it makes more sense to buy the original spool and also save on cost in the process.
